I love Monza,it is fast! the history and parkland setting oozes atmosphere, not to mention the mad Tifosi.
This ,despite the race usually ending up a procession, after the introduction of the chicanes in the 70's,
I'm sure Alonso will agree, after last Sunday's impeccable race.nobody had a change to catch the Spaniard

John Surtees Lola T60,acrylic on paper 8x11" sold
fancied something a bit different today, and what is there not to like about this gorgious cherry red Surtees CanAm Lola?
Nostalgia...when i was a kid in the 70's, and just started to get fascinated by F1,
i got a little Surtees TS7 toycar...
In the 90's,when i was busy building models for teams and drivers,i found it again in the modelshop at Brands Hatch.Later that day i met Big John,he liked my work and wanted me to build all the cars he ran....Wow!

a more colorful scene of the last two drawings posted, again Avus 1937 Mercedes vs Auto Unionwe are back from our road trip through the south of England but i'm no-way ready to do my car-a-day,soo busy and our internet connection is terrible, posting this in our local library....
so for now a little drawing of the Mercedes Streamliner at Avus...just to keep things ticking over.
