The fifth  and sixth Volkswagen Passat generations had already left conventional class boundaries behind and bridged a path to the next higher segment with their high-end features. The seventh generation VW Passat emphatically continues this trend. A completely new styling configuration was created; its front-end styling follows that of the Phaeton  which was restyled mid-year. It simultaneously guides the Volkswagen Passat’s independent design into the future. Without leaving the mid-class in terms of pricing, the Passat approaches the top segments even more powerfully with its upgraded comfort, convenience, quality and safety properties as well as in its assistance systems. In fact, the Volkswagen Passat – available in Trendline, Comfortline and Highline equipment levels – now offers more value thanks to its optimised features. For example, standard equipment on all turbodiesel models of the base Trendline version now includes the energy-saving Stop/Start system and battery regeneration. All other petrol and natural gas engines have a battery regeneration system as well. For the smallest petrol engine, battery regeneration and the Stop/Start system are available as options.

2011 Kia Sorento

Previously an also-ran within its competitive class, the 2011 Kia Sorento has lost its truck-based platform and is now one of the most comfortable-riding and powerful compact SUVs. It’s even giving class leaders, like the Toyota RAV4, a run for their money. The Sorento has an optional third-row seat (rare in this class), class-leading warranties, and impressive standard features like Bluetooth.

Kia estimates its fuel economy at 21/29 mpg city/highway. This is about average for the class, but it’s quite good considering that the Sorento can accommodate up to seven passengers. In fact, few seven-passenger SUVs cost less or net more miles per gallon than the Sorento. And even fewer can touch its 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty 2011 Kia Sorento

Suzuki swift s concept

Last year Suzuki introduced the facelift Swift, which made it even look more at the Mini.
Boring, not original and typical a copy of…..
The Swift-S concept which was presented in Geneva is for us a refreshing car to see. Flared wheel arches, different head-and rear lights, 18 inch wheels, spoilers and some side skirts. It looks not bad at all.
Mayby the wing at the back is a little bit to much, but some people like it.
Under the hood we find a 1,600 cc engine, connected to a manual gearbox.
